2018 MERCEDES A-CLASS DEBUTS FEBRUARY 2
The German automaker showed the salon of the new Mercedes A-Class in November last year and mentioned that the debut date for the new generation of hatchback is February 2. Now we have a bonus from Mercedes-Benz -a teaser of the new Mercedes, where you can try to see the front of the car.
The company informed that the presentation of the new A-Class will take place in Amsterdam. And the full-fledged public debut of the Mercedes is expected at the international Geneva Motor Show in March.
To somehow brighten up the wait until the next Friday, Mercedes showed us the front of the car. The picture shows that the design of the most affordable model of Mercedes is made in the style of the last CLS. “The new A-Class embodies the next stage in our design philosophy of sensual purity and has the potential to usher in a new design era,” says Daimler design boss Gorden Wagener. “The interior presents modern luxury at a level previously unattainable in this class and transports the user interface into the digital age.”
The A-Class will receive a modern interior that belies its position as a lower-cost model in the Mercedes lineup. It has a free-floating widescreen with touch sensitivity, unique ambient lighting, circular air conditioning vents, and a touchpad control system on the center console.
As previewed at the consumer Electronics Show earlier this year, expect Mercedes’ infotainment system to feature new natural speech recognition technology. Behind the wheel, the A-Class will debut the MBUX infotainment system for Mercedes-Benz. Launched at CES in Las Vegas, the new system relies heavily on an intelligent voice assistant, conceived in a similar vein to the Google Assistant or Siri.
Partnerships with Trip Advisor and Yelp open the door for smarter, more relevant points-of-interest in the navigation system, and Mercedes claims the combination of touch, voice and physical controls makes for a safer, more intuitive user experience on the move.
